Julia Herr Smith founded Esquire Prep, LLC to help law students and junior attorneys get the best jobs and start their careers off on the right track. Esquire Prep was created with the belief that law students and attorneys can secure the best job offers through a combination of efficient preparation and insider advice. Esquire Prep helps its clients translate their interviews into job offers and choose the firm that's best for them.
Before launching Esquire Prep, Julia practiced with White & Case LLP in their New York City office. Her practice in the Mergers & Acquisitions group, led her to work with other practice areas, including Securities, Bank Finance, Bankruptcy, Private Clients, Tax, Employment, Employee Benefits, Environmental and Antitrust, among others. While at White & Case, Julia was a member of the Professional Development Committee and a co-founder of the "Eat Cheap for Charity" summer lunch program. Julia is also involved in the investment management industry.
Julia earned her J.D. and M.B.A. from Northwestern University's School of Law and its J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a B.A. in Political Science and French Area Studies from Denison University. Fluent in French, Julia has also worked in Paris, France.
Julia is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey. She is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. She is an alumni interviewer for Northwestern University's Law School and Kellogg Business School. Julia also does fundraising for Princeton Day School in Princeton, New Jersey.
Julia lives in New York City with her husband, children and black labrador retriever.
